"It’s officially Arch Manning time in Austin, though it might only last about 30 minutes.
The Longhorns' quarterback stepped into the huddle midway through the second half after starter Quinn Ewers left the game with a midsection injury. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian told ESPN at halftime that Ewers, who had just become a Heisman Trophy frontrunner, suffered a strained abdomen and would sit out the rest of Week 3's matchup against UTSA.
This gave Manning full control of the offense for the remainder of the first half, and he looked comfortable from the start. With 13 minutes left in the second quarter and Texas leading 14-0, Manning orchestrated a four-play, 72-yard touchdown drive, highlighted by a 49-yard pass to Gunnar Helm and a 19-yard touchdown strike to DeAndre Moore."
