Chris Sutton's Premier League Predictions: Week 4
Chris Sutton is predicting all 380 Premier League games this season, each week facing off against a new guest. For week four, he's joined by Femi Koleoso and Ife Ogunjobi from the jazz band Ezra Collective, winners of the 2023 Mercury Music Prize.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Everton manager Sean Dyche is under increasing pressure following their poor showing against Bournemouth. Some fans appear to have turned against him, which Sutton finds unreasonable, but acknowledges that Dyche desperately needs a positive result. Unfortunately for Everton, Villa Park is not the place where that turnaround seems likely to happen.
The Toffees were thrashed 4-0 at Villa last season, and despite their likely determination to fight harder this time, Sutton doesn’t see them coming away with any points.
How many goals Aston Villa score may depend on whether Ollie Watkins is fit. Sutton, who has Watkins in his Fantasy team, notes that the striker remains an injury concern after withdrawing from the England squad.
